Party Level 1
The party is in Palebank Village, attending the funeral of Urgon Wenth, a dwarven explorer that died under mysterious circumstances. Urgon was afflicted by a strange disease, maybe a curse, that turned his body into ice! The leader of the village, an elderly elf by the name of Elro Aldataur, hires the party to investigate the matter. He directs them to the house of Tulgi Lutan, a dwaven woman apparently affected by the same disease.
The PCs speak with Tulgi, and discover the connection between her and Urgon. Urgon had returned from a voyage to Eiselcross with several artefacts, that he had sold to Pelc's Curiosities. Tulgi and her sister Hulil had then raided the shop, and stolen those artifacts. The party suppose that the artifacts carry some sort of curse with them.
The party visits Urgon's house, where they discover a journal confirming Tulgi's information about Pelc's Curiosities. They visit Pelc's Curiosities next, where they find a band of elves searching the already ransacked shop. The bandits attack the party, but they're defeated. The party interrogates the one surviving elf, and they discover he's a member of Hulil's gang, and that she also seems to be afflicted by the curse.
The party travels to Hulil's hideout, a cave out of town, where they manage to arrive at Hulil's presence without starting any unnecessary fights.
